State Senator Bob Deig and State Representative Gail Riecken formally announced their run for re-election to the State Legislature on Friday, February 12 at The Centre.

Born and raised on his family's farm in Southwest Indiana, State Senator Bob Deig is a strong voice for Indiana's working families.
Elected to the State Senate in November of 2006, Deig previously served on the Posey County Commission and Posey County Council.
In the Senate, Deig serves as the ranking Democrat on the Local Government & Elections committee. He also serves on the Appropriations; Pensions & Labor, and Agriculture & Small Business committees.

Gail Riecken has 18 years of public service experience. She first entered public service when appointed to the Evansville City Council to fill the remaining term of Frank McDonald, then elected as Mayor. As a City Council member, Gail was an advocate for jobs creation, the Pigeon Creek Greenway Passage, affordable housing, and historic preservation. She also helped area businesses and dislocated workers through service in the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, and later served as Parks Director for the City of Evansville under Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel.
